Fengjing Ancient Town 枫泾古镇
The Jinshan District, neighboring Zhejiang Province, is among the largest, and most thinly populated, in Shanghai. The peak of its Dajinshan Island is the highest point in the entire municipality (although only at a modest 103 meters).
Jinshan's ancient water town of Fengjing 枫泾古镇, dating back to the Mongol Yuan Dynasty, is celebrated for its bridges and picturesque waterside streets. The old site of people's commune within the Fengjing ancient town is now a museum dedicated to Cultural Revolution and Mao memorabilia.
