National Exhibition and Convention Center - NECC Shanghai - 国家会展中心
The Qingpu District, containing the Dianshan Lake, is home to some of the city's most picturesque heritage sites, and also some of its most spectacular contemporary architecture. The district's beautiful Qushui Garden 曲水公园, originally attached to the City God temple, dates back to the mid 18th century, and the district is renowned for its historic water towns. The district's oldest town, Baihe 白鹤镇, is famous for its Shanghai Opera performances. The contrasting, modern face of Qingpu is shown in such recent structures of note as architect Ma Qingyun's wave-form Qingpu Library 青浦图书馆, and the Shanghai National Defence Centre in Shanghai Oriental Land 东方绿舟, housed in a full-scale model aircraft carrier.
