Paulaner (Raffles City Changning)

Paulaner Bräuhaus Shanghai is a restaurant chain that specializes in Bavarian and international cuisine (think lots of sausage) while serving popular micro-brewed Paulaner beers to the delight of beer lovers.

Paulaner Shanghai's newest addition, Paulaner Raffles City Changning, is located inside a charming renovated villa within the neighborhood of Zhongshan Park, Changning District.

This particular Paulaner venue not only offers quality food and drinks, but also a bit of history. The villa was formerly a campus of Saint Mary's Girls' Middle School, established in 1923. The venues' decor combines a modern, simple design with touches of rustic, traditional furniture and décor, reflecting its long and vibrant past.

Both of its two floors are equipped with cozy, semi-private rooms inspired by Bavaria's mountain chalets. The highlight of the second floor's alpine-inspired cabin is a historical copper brew kettle, which was actually used to produce more than 6,000 brews of beer in the past.

The outdoor seating area in the courtyard can be quite an enjoyable area for relaxing on sunny days.
