Shanghai Auto Museum

Shanghai Auto Museum is the first vehicle-themed museum established in China, occupying a ground of 11,700 square meters in Jiading where has been considered the home to the city's automotive industry.

To impress visitors with a distinctive exterior design as well as emphasize the nature of vehicle - speed, the building of the museum shaped its outline with the combination of round and curves, making the whole structure a wonderful abstract artwork erected in an open park.

Inside the museum, the three-storey space has put over 100 specimens into exhibitions with different displaying threads.

The History Pavilion on the grand floor is the collection of milestone works that have been created throughout the entire automobile manufacturing history. Moving forward through the passage leading to the 2nd storey, you will see a line of an exhibition telling you the stories about the development of China's automotive industry.

The Collection Pavilion on the 2nd floor is the hall of vintage vehicles, exhibits including a high-wheel bicycle, horse-drawn wagons, and vintage racecars are dedicated to bringing all historic automotive preeminences to the stage to gratify audiences' interests.

Exploration Pavilion on the 3rd floor is dedicated to giving specialized knowledge about automobile manufacturing as well as interaction facilities committed to stimulating visitors' racing desire. 

A temporary exhibition hall on the 4th floor opens its door to any automobile-related exhibition.
